Review of the GolfLogix
A review of the GolfLogix GPS-8 by Garmin should include both the positive and the negative. We'll start with a positive in our review: the product features. The GolfLogix is user-friendly. When you are on the golf course it will display key yardage distance. It manages to be both instantaneous and precise. It can calculate to different areas of the green, including the center, front, and back. It can also calculate to hazards. Your Golf Logix can hold up to 20 courses, and there are 21,800 courses available.
As most reviews point out, the visibility of the LCD screen (1.25 by 2.25 inches) is one of the best features of the GolfLogix. It can be seen in dark conditions as well as direct sunlight and is adjustable. The Garmin GPS-8 GolfLogix is both shockproof and waterproof. Another popular point in this review is that you can use it with Windows (2000, XP, or Vista) as well as Mac OS X. It has a battery life of 22 hours and comes with a USB-serial cable, AA batteries, and a belt/bag clip.
The con in this review of the Garmin GolfLogix is poor customer service. Some people who have had problems report customer service to be unresponsive. Garmin is known for good customer service with their other products, so hopefully they'll fix this soon.
